What Pocketrack stores

The expenses you enter (amount, category, note and date), your budget, and your settings such as currency, language and appearance. All of it is stored in a local database on your device. Pocketrack's widgets read a summary of this data from the same device.

What Pocketrack collects

Nothing. Pocketrack has no account system, no server and no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting services. The app does not send your data over the network, and the developer has no way to see it.

Camera and receipt scanning

If you choose to scan a receipt, Pocketrack uses the camera to capture it and reads the text on your device, using Apple's on-device text recognition and, where available, Apple Intelligence. The image is used only to fill in the expense and is not uploaded or kept.

Face ID, Touch ID and PIN

App lock is optional. Your PIN is stored in your iPhone's Keychain. Face ID and Touch ID are handled entirely by iOS: Pocketrack only receives a yes or no answer and never has access to your biometric data.

Backups

Like other apps, Pocketrack's data can be included in your iPhone's iCloud or computer backup, depending on your device settings. Those backups are managed by Apple and by you, not by Pocketrack.

Deleting your data

You can delete individual expenses in the app. Deleting Pocketrack from your iPhone removes all of its data from the device.

Children

Pocketrack does not collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
